With over 15 years of early childhood teaching experience, an M.A. in Early Childhood Education and a multitude of positions in the field, I have vast knowledge in what it takes to create a warm, inviting and developmentally appropriate classroom. My career has been molded by Montana’s values and creative way of life. My husband (a Bozeman native) and I have 2 sweet young children, both being raised with those same values. I am lucky to say I have now been on both sides of the classroom, as a teacher and as a parent. I pride myself on being respectful and sensitive to all families, taking in every moment and learning every day. My passion is in building an early childhood community where we break barriers and create innovative experiences. Rising Stars ELC does just that. I look forward to guiding and nurturing each and every child’s unique abilities and I thank you for the opportunity to welcome your family into our center.

I have always had a love for young children going all the way back to my childhood where I would make my younger siblings be  students in my very imaginary classroom. I attended John Brown University in Siloam Springs, AR where I earned a degree in Family and Human Services. I have built and led children programming, taught in preschool environments, and helped care for infants and toddlers in weekday programs. I am excited to be a part of Rising Stars and am looking forward to serving many families in the valley.  My  husband Doug and I have three young children. We love calling Bozeman home and enjoy spending time outside together, cheering for kids at endless youth sport events, and drinking coffee and tea all day long to help stay warm in the long winters.
