Christel Chvilicek, CFRE

Christel is a Bozeman native and graduate of Montana State University. Upon graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management, Christel received her Masters of Nonprofit Management and Leadership from Walden University. After a decade of experience in the nonprofit industry, Christel went on to receive her CFRE, which is an internationally recognized fundraising certification. She has served as Program Coordinator for HRDC Head Start, Early Learning Director for the Gallatin Valley YMCA, Development Director for Central Asia Institute, and Executive Director of Befrienders. Christel and her husband were married in 2008, and are the parents of two wonderful boys aged 11 and 12. In her spare time, she enjoys mentoring individuals who are just starting their nonprofit careers, serving on local nonprofit boards, enjoying the outdoors, and spending her weekends cheering on her two sons on the pool deck.

Robin Mayer

Robin is a Bozeman native and graduate of Montana State University. Robin has a passion for making an impact in our community through engagement, relationship building, and effective communications strategies. Prior to joining Family Promise, Robin worked as HRDC's Outreach and Events Coordinator for 7 years. Her responsibilities included marketing and fundraising for 7 service areas. Robin is an avid volunteer with HRDC, Reach, and Help Center. In her spare time, Robin enjoys reading, spending time with her family and two pups, and being outdoors and near water.

Michelle Thorn

Michelle grew up all over the Midwest before moving to the Gallatin Valley in September 2001. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communications from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. Michelle has a diverse background that included working in a group home, in the fields of advertising, communications, and human resources, and in the Belgrade Schools. She’s also volunteered at non-profits around the valley, such as HAVEN and the HRDC. Her husband and her have three kids (one at Montana State and two at Belgrade High School.) She enjoys going to group fitness classes at The Ridge, cooking, reading, hiking, and spending time with her family.

Hanna Vergo

Hanna grew up in Rochester, NY and attended SUNY Fredonia, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Social Work. Since graduating she has spent her time traveling and exploring the beauty of this wonderful world. Hanna enjoys engaging with the community and building relationships and partnerships with community members and organizations . Hanna has many passions, some of which include, yoga, sustainability, and whitewater rafting. Some of her favorite experiences are those spent enjoying the simplicities of life with kindred spirits.

Kylie grew up in Helena, Montana and came to Bozeman to attend Montana State University where she has recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Community Health. She started with Family Promise for an undergraduate internship where her passion for the organization began. In her free time, she enjoys working on crafts, exploring outdoors and being around her friends and family.

Elliot Brown

Elliott began volunteering 20 years ago at multiple Family Promise affiliates around the country. Her career in nonprofits began after witnessing the impact she made in a child’s life while she was an AmeriCorps mentor in Columbia, SC. She previously worked for Family Promise affiliates in Beaufort County and Austin, Texas. Amidst COVID shutting down America, Elliott and her wife moved across the country with their cat and dog to Bozeman, Montana. She began volunteering with Family Promise of Gallatin Valley a few months after moving here. After she had been volunteering with us for a few months, we hired her as a Program Assistant to help us keep up with the growth and expansion we have seen this past year. Her favorite pastimes are relaxing in a river, equity activism, laughing, photography, and rock hounding.

Marcus Cioffi

Marcus grew up in Bozeman and will always consider it his home. Through working closely in town with other individuals that have similar values, he has found his passion for giving back to the community that once helped him and his family stay afloat. Previous volunteering with the youth of Bozeman is what originally showed him how rewarding it is to be in this line of work. Marcus has a degree in both Political Science and Community Health from MSU. Aside from enjoying the beautiful hikes just outside of Bozeman, Marcus likes to spend time with his girlfriend and their two cats.

Jessica Briceno

Jess is from Helena, Montana and moved to Bozeman in 2016 to attend Montana State University where she then graduated with a Bachelor’s in Community Health and a Minor in Human Development. She enjoys skiing, traveling, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. One of her main passions lies in helping people and watching them succeed. With that being said, Family Promise seemed like a perfect fit, and she is excited to see where this opportunity takes her!

Zachary Wangler

Zak spent most of his life in North Carolina, where he graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology in 2016. During his time in undergraduate studies, Zak developed a passion for civic engagement and social justice. In 2018, he moved across the country to Bozeman, Montana in order to work as an AmeriCorps VISTA with the HRDC’s Community Development Department. Following his term of service with AmeriCorps, Zak began pursuing his Masters of Public Administration at Montana State University and working with the HRDC’s Warming Center. When he is not volunteering through Bozeman United Methodist Church, Zak can typically be found kayaking, camping or just generally enjoying the mountain air.
